On Saturday, March 31, 1979 Jazz Band I and the Alumni Jazz Band performed with nationally known vocalist Joe Williams in the University (now Follenger) Auditorium on the UIUC campus. The Alumni Jazz Band included Ron Dewar on tenor saxophone, Jim Knapp and Jerry Tessin on trumpet, Larry Dwyer on trombone, Chuck Braugham on drums, and Ron Elliston on piano. [ED: per Jim Beauchamp]
