On April 27, 1976, the band performed as part of a concert titled "Music of the U.S.S.R." (along with the UIUC Chamber Orchestra and the UIUC Russian Orchestra). A recording of this concert is held at the Sousa Archives (box 102, reels 8-9). Material performed by the band included "Tartar Holiday" (A. Shabashov), "In The Mountains of Georgia" (Oleg Lundstrem), and "Bokhara Ornament" (Lundstrem). The band also performed the following day on April 28 along with the Air Force Band of the Midwest (Chanute AFB, Rantoul). A recording of this concert is held at the Sousa Archives (box 10, reels 10-11).
