On March 21, 1985, the band held a concert for which there is a recording held at the Sousa Archives (box 136, reels 8-9). This may have been part of a spring "jazz festival", as two additional reels from March 23, 1985, also appear in the archive (box 136, reels 10-11).
On April 23, 1985, the band appeared in concert with alto saxophonist Gary Foster. A recording of the concert is held at the Sousa Archives (box 136, reels 11-12). (The tape is labeled "Jazz Bands", so it's possible this was a shared concert with one of the other ensembles or a small group.)
